There's so much I'm thankful for in this last year, I barely know where to begin. I'm not quite sure what to say about resolutions either but I guess I can think about that tonight as I watch the countdown on TV. I'm surprising myself this year by not going anywhere or doing anything. Just staying home with Aniki and holding him tight and spending as much time in reflection and nostalgic talk as possible. I'm thinking about possibly postponing our trip of Philadelphia next week to the week afterwards, but then it would be kind of pointless to go because I'd only have a week and a half to enjoy my "vacation".

...oh well. Whatever. I don't really care where we go, just so long as I'm with Aniki and he's happy. And apparently he's unbelievably happy spending an entire day in bed with me just talking or kissing and cuddling or reading a book together in my arms... We've always enjoyed the little things in our relationship, but we've gotten busy lately and barely have time to enjoy each other. I think that will be one of my New Year's resolution. To learn to take as much time as possible to enjoy my love and make sure that I'm not neglecting the fundamental points in our relationship which has always made it perfect to me and to him.

Plus I think I need to just take it easy to begin with, especially since I was riddled with pain like I haven't felt in months yesterday morning all the way into the night and today. Aniki says I'm a classic workaholic case and I need some Valium to chill out (I thought I was chill enough wtf).

And y'know? I wasn't gonna say any of this here, but now I simply want to. There's a terrible neediness that starts to take over when night time comes lately, like I can't get enough physical contact or the smell of him... like I'm addicted to his very presence and it makes me stark CRAZY sometimes that I can't get closer than skin-to-skin, mouth-to-mouth, hand-to-hand, joined bodies, tangled legs, bite marks and sighs... It's terribly maddening how I've gotten lately and it seems to be contagious. He hasn't let me go yet for the morning and I don't think I'm going to be free anytime soon, not that I mind of course. I wonder if there's a name for what I'm feeling on this quiet New Year's Eve... Perhaps it's simply love.

Right. So I'm long overdue posting this, but hey. I'm anything but methodical. So over the next couple of days I'm going to try doing something rather stupid and upload my really in need of a good edit manuscript and fix stuff as I go along.

In the meantime I must confess that I've fallen in love with The God Eaters. It's a damn good book, lemme tell ya. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good book to read with strong, delightful, extremely likeable lead characters, malexmale love, non-rancy well placed sex scenes, supernatural cowboy and indian play, and endearing vhfgvgdza szsxdfg moments (which ther are many xD).

cat shelter. I love cats and for the few in my town that actually DON'T know where I live or can't make it there, the cat shelter is the one place they can go and if any of them are on deathrow, I'll take them in. <3
