Goodness! I have a lot of them. Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchet, Storm Constantine, Poppy Z. Brite, Amelia Atwater-Rhode.

Animorphs, The Westside Stories, The Unicorn Chronicles, Wraeththu, Let Dai, Claymore, Boy Princess, Demon Flowers, etc..

3. Who is a book hero you most wish to be like?
Mikel, from HgN my own novel series. :3

4. Who is a book character that you envy?
I don't really envy anyone. I try not to envy anyone.

5. Which book do you wished you lived in?
MANY. But for the moment I wished I lived in Details of the Hunt.

Memories

   1. Smells, and memories. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory? Do share.
    I have many. Certain smells make me think of happy things, bad things. My favorite smell is the scent of the bedsheets after Aniki and I have rolled around in them after just taking a shower. The scent is... just indescribable. I love it so much. But most definitely my favorite scent is HIM. The way he smells first thing in the morning, right at the nape of his neck and down his back. It's like heaven.

   2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.
    Such Great Heights by The Postal Service. Aniki and I dance together to this song and kissed completely unashamed in public. It made him so happy he actually cried. I was close to joining him honestly, but I just wanted to hold him and I did.

   3. How about a song that brings up painful memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.
     It's a Nine Inch Nails song called Somewhat Damaged, and to be frank, I never thought I could get past it, but I have. It still lingers there in the back of my mind, but truly, honestly I believe I can listen to that song and not think of the memories that fester with it.

   4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?
    Mangos. D: They remind me of the first time Aniki and I found out how good they were with PEANUT BUTTER! XD We were in a hotel room in the US somewhere and looking for a midnight snack that would be sweet and gooey and I went downstairs to the reception area and searched the kitchen for food. I found lots of fruit and PEANUT BUTTER. It was as though someone thought the world would run out or something. And then there was mangos. I'm sure some little devil possessed me at the moment, obviously not realizing how estranged we (Aniki and I) really were and thus I picked up the mangos and a bottle of peanut butter and brought it upstairs to our hotel room and that was all he wrote, my friends. A beautiful friendship right there to last a lifetime. *nodnod*

   5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?
    Uggghhhh yes. 8D;;; I mean, I'm sure everyone's got some piece of clothing that they absolutely hate/love. I've got both. I ABSOLUTLEY HATE seeing those pants with the words written out on the butts. THEY IRRITATE ME SO MUCH YET AT THE SAME TIME I LAUGH. HARD. The memory it brings back is a time during HS when we everyone was changing classes and Aniki, Jesse, Jez and I were coming from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor and had to walk behind a LINE (and when I say line, I mean IMPENITRABLE LINE) of preps who ALL HAD WRITTING ON THEIR SMALL TIGHT PERKY BUTTS. It made me so SICK, I don't know how I managed to make it through the day. Though to be honest with you I was laughing through most of the next class, that much was certain. xD Because, you know how it says "BA-BY" which each half on each butt cheek? Well as they were walking up the stairs it was going UP-down-UP-down BA-by-BA-by and I nearly had broke my SPLEEEN. Too funny girls. TOO FUNNY. That fact that you actually think this is sexy/cute makes you seem even more incredibly idiotic and bubble-brained than was previous concluded.

How many times a day do you...

   1. Brush your teeth? if I remember once or twice. XD;
   2. Shower? Depends. D: Generally only once or twice
   3. Check your E-mail? Many, many times. Especially if I'm waiting for something or someone to email me.
   4. Check LJ? Uh, depends on whether or not I'm interested in it atm. XD Sometimes a whole week goes by without ever giving it a second thought, while other things I check it a dozen times an hour.
   5. Eat? ...pfffttt yeah what's that? XD No but seriously? I'd say if I remember, then maybe once. If you mean munching/snacking/picking, then generally a few times during a day. Depends on what's in the house or what Aniki/friends around me have that looks yummy. :d

1. If you could change one life-changing event in the life of someone important to you, would you?
Yes I would. Who wouldn't, especially if they could make it better now that they know what would have happened?

2. Which do you think is easier to do, being friends for many years, or being life partners for many years?
Hm, that is difficult question to answer. Personally I would say being life partners because if you chose that person to be with you for the rest of your life, then that's it. It's for life. Friends tend to be a little less binding, which is sad considering how much importance I put into friendship. I think of it no less than I would a life partner, a brother a sister a sibling, a soulmate... But I suppose not everyone thinks of friendship this way and that's why it's sometimes harder to say, "Yes, I've been friends with this person 60 years" instead of saying "I've been in love/partners with this person for 60 years." But this again is concerning myself and not others. From what I've seen of other people, both friendship and Mates seem to be at an all time low in regards to lasting relationships. Truly a sad thing indeed.

3. Have you ever walked away from someone you considered a friend?
...walked away from them? As in abandoned them when they needed me? Then no. I don't do that sort of thing unless its completely unavoidable. I understand that as much as I'd like to keep every promise, every sworn oath, every birthday, holiday, and event... I know that I can't. I know I'm not perfect and that life is the bitchiest pain in the ass the world has ever known and I understand that sometimes I'm going to fail, but so long as I can make up for it, patch up misgivings and such that friendships will last.

However that's on my end. If I did something wrong unintentionally I will make amends for it. But if someone betrays me or does something of intentional harm to me, my friends, my love, or my family I will not forgive them. I am fiercely loyal to my friends and of those I consider true friends I expect the same. If they cannot give it and stab me in the heart, they will no greater enemy. None. I don't take betrayal well, yet at the same time I am willing to forgive, but I will never forget. Too many scars on my heart to let someone try to make another.

4. If you had to choose between telling the truth and hurting a friend or lying and making them happy, which would you choose?
...depends on the situation. My usual answer would be that I'd tell the truth even if it meant hurting them because in the long run that's usually what's better, however in some cases I just can't bring myself to hurt someone I cared about when I know the whole situation could work out differently if I play it low and lie. But those are really generally rare occasions.

5. Which would you rather hear--the truth which will hurt, or the comforting lie?
...DEPENDS ON THE SITUATION LOL. 8D A bit of 50/50 I suppose though not really. I'd honestly prefer the truth even if it's going to hurt me because I'd rather know whatever it is up straight and not have people smiling in my face and stabbing me in the back. The only times I'd want someone to lie to me would be in jest or in good fun (as in they say "YOU ARE SO SEXY LEMME SNOGGER YOU *SMOOCHSMOOCHSMOOCH*" or some shit like that lol~~).

Hair!

   1. What type of hair do you have? (Thin, Normal, Thick, Frizzy, etc.)
Er?? o__O Normal I guess? It's not overly thick, but not thin at all either. So, normal...ish?? Lol?
   2. What color is your hair currently?
Blond
   3. What colors have you dyed/highlighted your hair?
Ahaha you really wanna know? XD Probably every color under the sun at one time or another. ^^;; Well okay, let's see. I definitely remember having blue, electric yellow, pink, green, white, black, purple, silver and strawberry blond hair before. I don't think I ever had it brown, pink, lavender, lime, or gray before.
   4. If you could dye your hair any color, what would it be?
Uh, I like my hair color thank you very much. xD;
   5. What is your hair's length?
LONG. Right about now it's touching my lower back. It's actually kiiiiinda bothering me a bit. I might get it chopped off again to my mid-back or something. Almost trying to touch my butt is starting to make me get paranoid. xD Aniki's is even longer though! His actually goes past his bum. XD But it looks nice on him (not to say it doesn't on me either, but I just don't like having to think about accidentally sitting on my damn hair every single minute thank you very much 8D)

1. Do you have a favourite cause that you support?
Animal Rights, GLTB Rights, Stray Cats Organization (SCO), BCPA (Big Cats Protection Association)

2. If so, how do you support it?
Animal Rights: I donate money to this group monthly and I also take in and care for animals around my neighborhood (usually cats).  I also help the local shelter by donating money to and giving my time and services to the animals there.
GLTB Rights: I used to give counselling to kids who were gay, lesbian, bisexual, transexual or transgendered. Now I try to help others understand those around them (not just those of a different sexual orientation than them).
Stray Cat Organization: I donate money to this group monthly and I also take in, care for/adopt/find homes for animals around my neighborhood (usually cats).
Big Cats Protection Association: I donate to them monthly, help out whenever I can, defend their rights in papers in the local newspaper, and go to the few meetings that have actually been held in Japan. It's not all that common a thing to do here since we don't have as many big cats as other countries do, but it's still a major cause to fight for.

3. Have you been an active member of an organization (attending meetings, volunteering etc)?
Yes. I attend meetings and volunteer a lot, plus my donations are always automatic withdrawls from the bank account.

4. Have you ever led any group?
Yes. I was actually the one who started the Stray Cat Organization in my neighborhood (unintentionally, but I still started it lol~)

5. If so, how was your experience with it?
Quite wonderful actually. Little buggers bitting my fingers and scratching me and looking up at me with their cute little eyes... fjknsdjlsngjlsndjsnds DAMN IRRESISTABLE FELINES!!!! ;W;

Now here's the Friday Five for this friday July 4th...

1. What drink wakes you up best in the morning?
Coffee. Lots and LOTS of coffee.

2. During the day, what do you drink to keep going?
Coffee, gatorade, or beer (or any other alcholic beverage). I'm not kidding.

3. Do you drink the recommended 8 glasses of water per day? Why/why not?
Yes and no. Sometimes I drink water like a camel and just gulp it all down, but also like a camel, I can do long periods of time without it.

4. What are the ingredients of your favorite mixed drink(s)? (Doesn't have to be alcoholic!)
Sex on the beach is pretty good: 1 oz. Vodka, 1 oz. Peach Schnapps, 3 oz. Cranberry Juice, 3 oz. Orange or Pineapple Juice. Add several ice cubes to a highball glass. Pour in all ingredients and stir.
Gin and Tonic: 2 oz Gin, Tonic Water, Ice. Pour gin into a glass 1/4 full of ice cubes and fill with tonic water.
Pina Colada: 3 oz Light Rum, 3 tbsp Coconut Milk, 5 tbsp Crushed Pineapple, 2 cubs Ice. Blend at high speed until smooth. Strain into a glass and serve with a straw. Top with a pineapple wedge and a cherry.
Strawberry Daiquiri: 1 oz Light Rum, 1/2 oz Strawberry Schnapps, 1 oz Lime Juice, 2 tsp Powdered Sugar, 2 oz Fresh or Frozen Strawberries, Crushed Ice, Whipped Cream. Dip the rim of a glass in strawberry juice and coat it with sugar. Shake all ingredients well with crushed ice and pour into the sugar coated glass. Top with whipped cream and a whole fresh strawberry.
Tahiti Dance Club: 2 oz Light Rum, 1 tbsp Lemon Juice, 1 tbsp Lime Juice, 1 tbsp Pineapple Juice, 1/2 tsp Maraschino, Ice. Shake with ice and strain into a glass half filled with ice cubes. Top with a slice of lemon.

5. Are you a coffee drinker? How do you take your coffee, if so?
Yes, most definitely. I take it black as night, sweet as sin. ;)

Theme: International Travel

   1. You have the summer and plenty of money to travel abroad. Where all would you go?
Probably to all the European/Asian countries I still have left to vist.

   2. What foods would you be sure you got to eat?
Local cusine. Try a little something cultural from each place.

   3. What landmarks would you be sure you got to see?
All the famous places and then just wander because that's when you have the most fun.

   4. What airline would you use?
JetBlue

   5. Would your knowledge of other languages influence where you went? (i.e. would you be more likely to go to France if you spoke French)
Um, I don't think so, mostly because I can speak many different languages and I just think that even if I couldn't understand a word of what other said I could probably figure it out or find a way to communicate.

Theme: USA Road Trip

   1. Who would you take with you on a road trip?
ALL MY US FRIENDS. D: We would have to carpool and make a chain of about 15 cars, but it would be sooo awesome. xD

   2. What states would you visit?
ALL OF THEM. XD Or as many as possible. Definitely stop in Lousianna, New York, New Jersey, Nevada, California, Washington, Florida, Montana, and Vermont.

   3. What national parks and/or monuments would you go see?
I... dunno? Lol~

   4. Las Vegas: Overrated or a Must-See?
Must-see. XD It's gorgeous, a bit overrated, but still a sight to see, definitely.

   5. How long would you be gone?
Pft! As long as possible. I'd only come back when I run outta money or something really REALLY important calls me away.
